Papakura Yoga Centre is located in the heart of Papakura in a beautiful upstairs loft type space.
The Studio opened in 2001. We offer a range of different styles of Yoga with each of our 6 Teachers bringing their own experience and love of Yoga to their classes. The focus in All classes is to provide a calm and supportive space where Every Body is welcome and can enjoy the myriad benefits of Yoga.
Yoga is an ancient practice that has evolved to meet modern day needs; helping us to develop and maintain mindfulness, ease in movement and Balance in all aspects of our lives: Both on and off the mat.
The 3 class card is Valid for 5 weeks (from and including the date of first class taken). Every New Person can take this offer once.
All cards are not refundable or transferable.
An ideal entry level class - also suitable for those with some prior yoga experience. Foundation poses and movement principles which support sound alignment and healthy posture are taught. There is also a focus on integrating mindfulness, breath and conscious relaxation skills.Building a sound base from which to move confidently into other yoga classes.

Yoga is for Every Body : Men included! This class is open to all: Beginners and anyone with prior Yoga experience. Learn in a supportive and calm space with a teacher whose style has been described by his students as:
"relaxed and inclusive with a good dose of humour thrown in"
You can expect to: Improve your flexibility and strength + move more freely, promote better sleep, enjoy respite from the pressures of daily life, aid recovery from other activities; sports, work gym etc and improve balance and posture.

This class combines the relaxing Yin Poses with the supportive Restorative poses and concludes with a Yoga Nidra. You can expect a quiet, calm, meditative floor based practice that encourages deep relaxation throughout the Whole Body.
Held on the last Sunday of each month / 6:30pm - 8:00pm (summer hours)

These movement classes are designed to support a healthy pregnancy, prepare the mind and body for labour and birth by combining: Moves to improve energy and strengthen the body, stretches to release tension and maintain flexibility and breathing to stay relaxed, calm and confident.
Classes are recommended for women in their 2nd and 3rd trimester.
Any fitness level and every “body” is welcome. No prior experience required.
Come dressed in anything that is comfortable to move in.
The instructors are not only fully qualified yoga instructors, but also midwives with a combined 50 years of clinical experience.
